WARRANTEES AND GUARANTEES

All Chaparral products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. The consumer is entitled to a replacement and/or refund for any major failure and compensation for any other reasonable foreseeable loss or damage. The consumer is also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Guarantee applies only to;

  • Carpet purchases after 1st December 2012

  • To the original purchaser of the carpet.

  • To carpet professionally installed over underlay in accordance with current Australian standard.

  • New carpet sold as first quality. And used for residential applications only.

Guarantee does not cover;

  • Carpet used in non-residential or commercial applications.

  • Carpet installed on stairs, (Unless advised ‘Suitable for Stairs’)

  • Damage caused by improper installation.

  • ‘Matting’ caused by improper maintenance.

  • Damage caused by accidents or improper cleaning methods or agents.

  • Damage caused by furniture.

  • Carpets exposed to prolonged periods of direct sunlight.

Should any part of the customers carpet fail to perform in accordance to any product guarantee Chaparral Carpet Mills P/L will offer the customer an allowance or a credit to be redeemed through the customers original retailer or another retailer nominated by Chaparral Carpet Mills P/L in the same area for;

  • The replacement price of the same or similar Chaparral product and

  • The reasonable cost of its installation. (Excluding the cost of underlay).

Warranty

Chaparral Carpet Mills Pty. Ltd. provides a full manufacturing warranty on all, raw materials and manufacturing procedures for a period of 12 months, from installation.
